Publisher review:Blender is a suite of tools for 3D modeling and rendering. This software has a very special destiny insofar as it is part of a private project that was "sold" to the open-source community following a call from the publisher who had the means to pursue its development . 100,000 euros requested by the publisher were collected in less than seven weeks thanks to the contribution of thousands of people.
Blender is not far away, a publicly available tool, the grip will be seeking investment. By cons, it is able to compete with commercial software with well-known 3D Studio Max.
The software supports the creation of objects based on shape simple, Nurbs, Bezier curves and B-spline that others will be combined by Boolean operations. The animation allows you to define paths for objects and apply deformation (morphing) using the appropriate skeleton. Rendering is also supported when the main effects 3D environment mapping, flares, motion blur and allows export to rendering software, including the famous Persistence of Vision (POV-Ray)
